A stranger gave me a rose the other monring...
A beautiful stranger that I've... never met before.

Flying down from the steps to her appartment as I passed.
like a graceful owl,
swooping down upon me, she was there,
and handed it to me,
glanced into my eyes,
and was gone from the stair.

Not a word...
Not a name...
I paid no mind,
and walked on just the same.


A stranger gave me a new ring yesterday... just after noon...
A beautiful stranger that I've believe I've seen before too.

Swirling about from around the corner of Main and New.
Like a gale-force wind,
spining and wipping about me, she was there,
and handed it to me,
gazed deeply into my eyes,
and left from the stare.

Not a word...
Not a name...
Put it away,
and walked on just the same.


A man went searching for a stranger earlier this morning...
Searching for a stranger he has seen many a time before.

Dashing about, and running from street to street, he hunts her,
and see's her standing at the bus stop on Main and Decore.
"Where are you going, Miss?, Your leaving, what for?"
"To a place far, far away from the troubles of the man I adore"
"Oh but miss, are you so blind? Can you not see you've taken so much of my time? Enough to the point that I'm begining to rhyme, wasting even more of my time. Cold and bitter I was, such as the lime. But now so warm and inspired I am, living sublime. So now take my hand my dear, free me from rhyme. Together forever, forever through time."


And away did she slip... from these cold hands of mine....


Just this evening... I lost my love to a bus...
So cold and bitter... now full no love and no trust.
Too late, that I was, a rose covered in dust,
as is the trigger I pulled when i when crushed.
